Malachi was born in Joplin, Missouri on August 2nd, 1987 to Penny (Kirk) Redden and Alan Redden. After his birth he was taken back home to meet his older brother Elijah, where they all lived in Baxter Springs, Kansas. When Malachi was 3 years old his family welcomed another Redden boy, Malachi's youngest brother Jonathan. Not even a year later and his parent's went through a messy divorce, Malachi, His mother and two brothers were forced to move to Pittsburg, Kansas for their own safety.
While living in Pittsburg, at a later date, Malachi learned about hard work and dedication. He was determined to be a wrestler and he let nothing hold him back, because he picked up a snow shovel and pushed a lawn mower until he had the money to pay his way into the Pittsburg Wrestling Club. After Malachi finished the 4th grade his mom made the decision to move the family down to Picher, Oklahoma, where her parents lived.
Picher is the Town Malachi would always call home, though times could be hard while living in the old mining town in Oklahoma, Malachi persevered. He had many great times with his brothers and many difficult ones as well, but that is all part of growing up. Every since the 5th grade Malachi had played football, up until his Sophomore year when he took a year off, but came back his Junior year to dominate. During his junior year in High School Malachi enlisted into Uncle Sam's Army National Guard. So he could go out and see the world and use what they taught him to apply it to his civilian life.
Malachi's High School activities consisted of: Football, Band, and Vo-Tech, while in VO-Tech Malachi was in Skills USA. Malachi took the welding class, where he quickly excelled and surpassed many of the other students, not only with his skills as a welder but as a professional.
Malachi went and done his Basic Training after his junior year in High School, and came back an Animal to demolish people in football his senior year. In May of 2006 Malachi Redden graduated from both Picher-Cardin High School and Northeastern Technology Center as a successful welder.
After Malachi graduated he took care of his A.I.T for the National Guard and was quickly promoted to Specialist. Malachi lived life to the fullest the years after he graduated; he always had a heart for God, and was baptized in between the years of 2006 and 2007. He was always a giving person, and selflessly, he never asked or expected anything in return. Soon Mal, went to leadership training at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, he was the youngest man there at the age of 19. Many didn’t believe he was only a kid because in mind he was much older and responsible than most 19 year old kids. He passed his leadership training, it was a pass or fail course.
In January of 2007 Malachi was deployed to serve his country in the War on Terrorism. He was in the Bravo 279 Infantry Company, for Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in his mobilization Malachi met a girl by the name of Jennifer Arends who would one day be his fiancée. He also met Craig Thompson who would soon be his best friend in Iraq. He served under Sgt. Booth would also became a friend of Malachi. These are just a few of the names of people Malachi touched during his deployment.
While in Kuwait before Malachi got to Iraq he placed 3rd in a weight lifting competition. Malachi’s mission in Iraq was to guard the detainees. Malachi’s job didn’t stop him from getting Bronze in the German Armed Forces Badge. Malachi excelled at being a Soldier, catching many rock notes, and keeping the detainees in line. Malachi had many misadventures over in Iraq and took part in many shenanigans with Craig Thompson.
When Malachi’s deployment was up, he was welcomed home with open arms and open hearts. He soon moved to Norman, OK with his girlfriend Jennifer Arends. In November, Malachi found work with Circle P Welding, they weld water tanks.
While working for Circle P, Malachi made many friends and touched many people’s lives. The best friend he had made there was a man named Tobias Reno. In the time Malachi had worked there, him and Tobias got into many misadventures and had the time of their lives. In the middle of January Malachi’s oldest brother Elijah moved in, Malachi was close with his immediate family.
On February 10th, around 1:45 P.M Malachi and the Circle P crew were closing up for the day because of coming storms. The scaffolding broke and Malachi fell 131 feet, but before he hit the ground two angels came and whisked him away, and he now resides in Heaven, where him and the Saints have many misadventures.
